Clariette de Artegnean has one dream: to be a great warrior and a servant of the realm. Together with her cousin Jolfe and friends Anana and newcomer Asogog, they set out to find their fortune. A cataclysmic ambush destroys the army they were traveling with and now our heroes have to protect a small band of refugee children and women from the dangers of the Deep Woods!
